This Advanced Urdu Reader contains 50 selections taken from contemporary Urdu-language publications from Pakistan. The purpose of this reader is to provide Urdu texts at Interagency Language Roundtable Level 2+ and above to expose the learner to authentic, unedited high-level materials on a variety of topics, in a variety of writing styles. Upon completing this reader, the student should be at IRL Lever 3 or 3+.Special Urdu usages, difficult terms not found in basic lexical sources, and non-Urdu words and phrases appear at the end of each selection under Notes.
English translations of all 50 selections are provided at the end of the book.
