This book is based on Aso Garmiani's Kurdisk grammatik för grundskolan (ISBN: 91-631-0556-X) published in 2001.The purpose of this book is two fold. The first is to present a sketch of Sorani Kurdish grammar written by a native Sorani linguist and intended for a Sorani audience. The second is to offer a parallel English translation for Sorani language learners who are not able to read the original text.
To facilitate a learner who does not have a background in Arabic script, examples and exercises have been transcribed in Latin script.
